HYBRIT - Towards fossil-free steel
The joint HYBRIT project sustainably innovates steel production. SSAB, LKAB and Vattenfall have joined forces to develop the world´s first fossil-free steelmaking technology. HYBRIT seeks to replace coking coal, traditionally needed for ore-based steel production, with hydrogen – eliminating the carbon footprint of steel production.
